I am reaching out to share with you some great news about the work of SASHA Center and to let you know that we have trainers who are available to spend time with your players, staff and any vendors at the team level to teach/discuss and learn about sexual assault, decision making, dating and domestic violence, healthy manhood, gender equality, diversity and relationship management and safety.
Exploring the sometimes unintentional acts of victim blaming, the #metoo movement and more importantly, creating a culture of leadership and respect across the entire franchise and creating community conversations will be key to making permanent and pertinent culture change in the professional sports workplace.
Kalimah Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Master’s Level Social Worker and is our lead trainer. Her competent staff, consultants and trainers have years of experience in collegiate/professional athletic space on relationship management and safety.
Kalimah has written results driven curriculum for college athletes as well as advised and developed a non-profit organization that addresses sexual assault in communities of color, she has advised with Adam Silver at the NBA, Michelle Roberts at the NBPA, Tony Porter and Ted Bunch from A CALL TO MEN and has created programs with players in the NBA, WNBA, G-League, NFL, NHL, MLB, NCAA and countless colleges and universities on these topics. She has 20 plus years of experience serving victims of crime and is an expert in this field of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
We have a successful track record of assisting players, support staff, faculty and security personnel on these issues and are available to spend up to two hours or less with members of your choice to change the culture at every level and within your sports franchise, college or university.
To discuss your needs in more detail and to discuss a possible visit to your school, facility or franchise please give us a call at 1-888-865-7055 or email us from the website!
It’s that simple.
Also, we are open and available to visiting with your team in Detroit to help offset costs when they are playing against any team at any level.
The investment of time and resources for this will be well worth it as it takes care of several action steps that every franchise should consider. We cover sexual harassment in the workplace, dating violence, sexual assault, coercion, consent and healthy relationships. We hold community conversations as a best practice and it provides all involved the pertinent information to change attitudes and beliefs about intimate partner violence and sexual assault from a non-punitive perspective. Our approach allows participants to engage and understand leadership, have conversation, as well as provide information and enlightenment, without ostracizing.
Our fee is within reason, all we would need for your franchise to cover is flights, hotel, and the fee. We provide one or two trainers, can cover our own meals, bring all materials and have a solid presentation that is impactful in specific professional athletic space with the most innovative and up to date information. Our fee per presentation is negotiable and we can discuss that in more detail upon initial contact.
Will you consider using us to change culture at all levels and with every important role at your school, team or franchise?
Give us a call at 1-888-865-7055 or send us an email at kalimah@kalimahjohnson.com or info@sashacenter.org
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Kalimah Johnson,
